The Wakayama Works, the key production site for bridges and steel structures in Western Japan, has introduced general-purpose numerical control system (NC system), precision machining and automation of processes from full-scale drawing to punching, peeling, cutting, chamfering and welding, resulting in improvements to production efficiency and high quality.
A wharf (400 meters long, 7 meters deep) that can accommodate a large floating crane and 100-ton jib crane allow the unloading of steel plates brought in by sea and the shipment of large-size steel structures. The Wakayama Works can meet virtually any need.
