WHY US

01We offer reliable technologies and diversified power supply solutions suitable for complex terrain and weather conditions, such as in Japan.

The share of installed capacity of wind power in Japan has been growing rapidly in recent years but it accounts for only about 2% of the global share. This is mainly due to the fact that most of the land in Japan is mountainous, which limits the number of installation sites for most familiar European-type horizontal-axis wind turbines.

Komaihaltec focuses on development of wind power generation systems and developed the KWT300 wind turbine adapted to complex terrain and challenging weather conditions of Japan.

Komaihaltec offers two types of Sky Solar Systems utilizing solar energy: High Pole-Mount and Cable-Suspended systems, which are designed to match the site specific conditions.

Komaihaltec also offers hybrid renewable energy system solutions, such as wind and solar power for distributed energy supply (community-based energy supply), demand for which is growing around the world to reduce the impact on the environment.

Why you should consider installation of medium-sized wind turbines

  • Fewer requirements for site conditions

  • Relatively small impact on grid

Possibility to sell electricity, use it for self-consumption, and utilize surplus power

  • Benefits of projects at local level

Local generation for local consumption of energy, environmental and social benefits

  • Opportunities for local companies to participate in manufacturing, construction, and maintenance

    Job creation effect

We generate electricity on-site at our Futtsu Plant to power its facilities

In order to ensure the stable operation of the system, we conduct in-depth surveys and studies at the planning stage, and evaluate the system using numerical simulations, including power generation simulation.

03Reliable Technology and Track Record

Komaihaltec has extensive experience in construction of numerous long-span bridges, such as the Honshu-Shikoku Highway Bridge, and production of advanced steel structures for skyscrapers. By utilizing our expertise in steel and wind analysis, we have developed the KWT300 wind turbine with a rated output of 300 kW.
The KWT300 is designed under careful considerations of Japan's unique complex conditions, including strong winds, narrow roads, and power system. The KWT300 is adapted to harsh weather conditions in mountainous regions and overcomes diverse challenges in transportation and construction. It is suitable for installation on remote islands, offering high cost-effectiveness and corresponding to differing grid requirements. The KWT300 is operating under varying site conditions not only in Japan, but also overseas in Bhutan, the Philippines, Russia, Mexico, and other countries.
